Governor Abbott Appoints Four to Texas Commission on Neighborhood College Finance | Workplace of the Texas Governor

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Woody Hunt, who will serve as chair, Mark Escamilla, Ph.D., Brian Jones, and Todd A. Williams to the Texas Fee on Group Faculty Finance for conditions set to expire at the pleasure of the Governor. The fee was established by SB 1230 (87R) to make recommendations to the 88th Texas Legislature about the state funding components and funding levels for general public junior colleges in Texas that would be enough to sustain viable junior college or university training and training choices through the condition and strengthen college student outcomes in alignment with state postsecondary objectives. 

Woody Hunt of El Paso is Senior Chairman of the Board of Hunt Corporations, Inc. He is a member of the Texas Financial Improvement Company Board of Administrators and The College of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre-Houston Board of Website visitors, vice-chair for the Council for Regional Economic Enlargement and Academic Growth, and a foundation trustee of the Texas Better Education and learning Basis. Mark Escamilla, Ph.D. of Corpus Christi is the President and CEO of Del Mar College or university, where by he has been because 2008. Furthermore, he has over 20 years of expertise in bigger education and learning. He is the previous secretary/treasurer for the Texas Association of Local community Faculty. Escamilla acquired a Bachelor of Science in Prison Justice and a Learn of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M College at Corpus Christi, an Affiliate of Arts from Del Mar Faculty, and a Medical doctor of Philosophy in Education and learning Administration from The College of Texas at Austin. 

Brian Jones of Odessa is the Director of Experienced Learning at Odessa University. Jones received a Bachelor of Songs Education and learning and a Master of Songs Training from Texas Tech College, and is finishing his Ed.D. in Organizational Management from Abilene Christian University. 

Todd A. Williams of Dallas is the Chairman and CEO of The Commit Partnership and the founder and president of the Todd A. Williams Spouse and children Foundation.
