Norm O’Reilly

Dr. Norm O’Reilly, a professor and former assistant dean at the College of Guelph, has been named dean of the University of Maine Graduate Faculty of Business enterprise, powerful July 1.

O’Reilly is a top scholar in the company of athletics. In 2018, he founded the Intercontinental Institute for Activity Company & Leadership, a world wide analysis heart and assume tank at the College of Guelph. As a professor and CPA, he teaches classes in sport administration and in accounting. O’Reilly was an assistant dean of government plans in Guelph’s Gordon S. From 2014–18, O’Reilly held the Richard P. and Joan S. Fox Professor of Organization, and was chair of the Section of Athletics Administration at Ohio College. O’Reilly has abilities in a variety of company subjects, which include analytics, promoting, sponsorship, social media, sport finance, social marketing, actual physical exercise and management schooling. He has authored or co-authored 16 publications, including the 2020 2nd version release of “Sports Business Administration: Conclusion Making All-around the World,” with George Foster and Tony Davila, and the 2021 2nd edition of “20 Insider secrets to Success for NCAA College student-Athletes,” with Rick Burton, Jake Hirschman, Andy Dolich and Heather Lawrence. 

He is effective closely with field and is the direct researcher on the Canadian Sponsorship Landscape Examine, now in its 15th version. O’Reilly writes a normal column with Syracuse College professor Burton for Activity Enterprise Journal. O’Reilly served as deputy chef de mission for the Canadian Paralympic Workforce in the 2016 Paralympic Game titles, and was a member of the 2004, 2008 and 2010 mission workers for the Canadian Olympic Staff.

His several honors include things like the 2015 Distinguished Career Contributions to the Scientific Understanding of Sport Organization Award by the American Marketing Association’s Sport Advertising Unique Desire Team. O’Reilly also is a Investigation Fellow of the North American Culture for Activity Management.

O’Reilly holds a Ph.D. in administration from Carleton University, and an MBA and a master’s diploma in athletics administration from the University of Ottawa.
